Bentley's Story

Chevy - now known as Bentley:

Chevy was rescued in early November ('07) after being hit by a car. He required major surgery to repair a large pelvic fracture as well as a FHO. He was a Shamrock Circle Fund Golden.

Chevy was in foster care after his surgery and his foster Mom took such good care of him and he was ready for his forever home in January.

We have been searching for the right Golden to fit our already 2 dog household for over three years. We've met about 5 different dogs over the years that just weren't the right fit. As soon as Chevy walked into our home we knew that he was at home. There was no transition at all, it was as if the dogs have been together forever. Chevy thought the same and we were told he was ready to be adopted.

He was given the name Chevy because he was hit by a car. We thought that Bentley fit the same theme with a bit more class for such a lucky dog.

Bentley has become very attached to our Akita mix, they are such buddies.

Bentley continues his physical therapy and continues to improve on a daily basis. I have hopes of training him to become a therapy dog.

Thanks to Carole Cappellino and Bentley's foster Mom and all their efforts.
