Meet Our Brave Boy, Bandana Jones! 💛🐾

You won’t believe this survivor’s story…

Bandana Jones was tragically hit on the freeway and left for dead, spending a cold and terrifying night alone on the shoulder. But fate intervened when a compassionate CHP officer spotted him and rushed him to an emergency vet hospital. There, vets discovered he had a fractured and dislocated leg.

After initial treatment, Bandana waited in the shelter, hoping his family would come—but no one ever did. That’s when GRCGLA Rescue stepped in without hesitation.

Today, Bandana is safe, healing, and surrounded by love. He underwent successful leg surgery at a phenomenal vet hospital, thanks to an amazing orthopedic surgeon. With each day, he’s getting stronger, happier, and more full of life.

Bandana is about 7 years old, weighs 93 pounds, and has a gentle, soulful spirit. Through everything, he has remained a model patient—calm, affectionate, and so grateful for every kind touch.

And there’s a twist to his story—Bandana has found love! He and fellow rescue pup Honey have become the best of friends. They share nose boops, wagging tails, and cozy nap times. It’s like watching a real-life romance bloom!

Bandana is now ready to find his forever home. He will need a couple more rechecks on his leg and will go out as a foster-to-adopt until his final x-rays are reviewed at the 8-week mark. But don’t worry—he’s on track to make a full recovery!

Our boy is in a foster home and so happy!  Gets along great with the resident dogs and LOVES shadowing his foster dad.  He smile is coming out more and more.
