Meet our distinguished gentleman, Captain!  Captain is a Flat-coated Retriever mix that came to us from a shelter where it was clear nobody had taken care of this boy for a long time.  He had skin issues and his teeth were yucky!  Well those days are behind him and he is happily sailing off into the sunset with a beautiful clean coat and freshly polished and cleaned teeth.  The shelter paperwork has him listed as a 9 year old but our vet feels he may be younger and more like 7 or 8 years old.  He currently weighs 48 pounds and ideally will weigh 55 pounds.  He is a lovely boy who has very nice manners with people and other dogs.  We are so happy to have saved him!

Captain is loving life in his foster home!  He LOVES his soft bed and toys. He loves his foster mom and enjoys giving her hugs.  So far he is being a very nice houseguest  as he settles in.  This boy is living the life he deserves.
