Beauty and brains are quite a combination—and Havana has both. Havana is a 5-year-old English Cream Retriever with movie-star looks and a sharp mind to match. She knows quite a repertoire of commands, learns quickly, and is wonderfully intuitive.

Havana absolutely adores people and would happily spend her day hanging out beside you soaking up constant petting. She may prefer people to other dogs, but she gets along well with everyone she meets.

She’s a polite girl who will remind you when it’s mealtime—but don’t worry, there’s no counter surfing here! When she wants to go outside, she’ll politely stand by the door and give a bark to let you know. She can get a little excited when it’s time for a walk, but she’s usually very gentle and easygoing. While she’s not big on traditional fetch, she loves chasing airborne toys and enjoys a good game of tug.

At 92 pounds, Havana could benefit from a couple of daily walks to help her slim down a bit. A home with a yard and plenty of fresh air would make her very happy. Beyond that, she’s a pretty easy girl to please.

Since Havana is still new to us, we’re sure we’ll learn even more about her in a foster or forever home—but so far she’s proving to be a loving, smart, and delightful companion.
