Honey
1-1/2 yrs old, female

Hi there! My name is Honey, and boy am I one lucky dog!
A few of my doggy friends and I were sadly dumped in the middle of nowhere, but our luck changed when we were picked up and taken to a shelter. I was a good girl there—friendly with the staff, well-behaved, and happy hanging out with my two kennel mates. Everyone said I had great manners and a cheerful personality.
One thing they noticed about me, though, is that one of my legs is a little different from the others. Because of that, no one came to adopt me... but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The kind people at GRCGLA Rescue swooped in and brought me to what feels like the Ritz-Carlton of vet hospitals—and I LOVE it here!
My rescue started with a spa day—seriously! I had thorns gently removed from my gorgeous coat, got a fresh manicure, and now I’m looking and feeling like a million bucks. I’ve been lounging in a big room with lots of friendly people and sweet dogs to socialize with. And guess what? I now have my own private suite with the softest, fluffiest dog bed ever. Living the dream!
The doctors checked out my leg and discovered I have a birth defect in my right carpus. Basically, the bones in my forelimb developed a little differently, so it looks like I have two paws. I can balance on it when I need to, but when I really get going, I’m speedy and strong on three legs! It doesn’t hurt and doesn’t need any treatment—just one of those things that makes me uniquely me.
So here I am—a healthy, happy, affectionate girl who gets along great with people and other dogs. I’m just a little extra special and need a family who will love me for who I am.
Oh… one last thing I absolutely require: lots of cuddles and love. I’ve been soaking up all the attention here and would really love for that to continue in my forever home. Could that be with you?
