Say hello to Marley—our big boy with the handsome frosted face and a personality full of delightful contradictions.

Marley recently found himself looking for a new home after his life changed with the arrival of a new baby. At 9 years old, he may have a silvered muzzle, but don’t let that fool you—he acts much younger and still has plenty of zest for life.

This sweet guy is a study in opposites. He’ll bounce up and down with excitement, but never on your chest. Sit down in front of him and he’ll gently place his paws on your lap, just to be close. He’ll bark at strangers at the door, then happily welcome them once they’re inside. He loves to grab socks and remote controls (treasures!), but he may ignore his toys—unless he decides to fetch, in which case he plays hard to get. Are you trained to fetch?

Marley walks nicely enjoys his walks—especially important since he could stand to lose a few pounds. While he might lunge at a passing dog, he does very well after proper introductions and when off leash. He’s content relaxing in a yard, but don’t be surprised if he whines to come back inside to be with you. After a good walk, he’ll plop down and rest like a total angel.

We’re still getting to know Marley, but for now we feel he’d do best in a home without an assertive resident dog, cats, or young children.
