Meet Milo — Our Pocket-Sized Golden Heartthrob 

At just 42.5 pounds, Milo is a petite Golden Retriever with a heart as big as they come.  This sweet boy is looking for a foster or forever family who sees past imperfections and straight into the soul of a truly special companion. He is 2 years old and still has some cute puppy behaviors. He is friendly, but shy, and sometimes skittish.

Milo has a mild cognitive challenge, which may show in his slightly wobbly walk — but we believe that, with time, love, and gentle exercise, he'll continue to build strength and confidence. Much of this may simply be due to a lack of muscle from being neglected and  confined without the chance to stretch his legs and explore the world. Now he's free to move and be loved.

He’s lived peacefully with dogs, young children and cats. We believe he’d thrive in a home with a calm, friendly canine buddy to show him the ropes and keep him company. What Milo needs most is a patient, compassionate family ready to embrace his gentle spirit and cheer him on every step of the way.
