Missy
10 yrs old, female

Say hello to sweet Missy. This gentle 10-year-old girl has been through a lot. After losing her home in the Altadena wildfire, Missy found herself in temporary lodging. Sadly, with her owners away most of the day, she became excessively anxious and was ultimately surrendered.
Missy is a fluffy bundle of love, weighing in at 55 lbs—though she looks bigger thanks to her full, soft coat. Once the runt of her litter, she’s now a calm, affectionate presence who just wants a little peace, love, and stability.
She walks beautifully on leash—no pulling, just quiet companionship. Missy has been friendly with every dog and person she’s met, and she adores gentle pets and attention. When she’s not soaking up love, she’s perfectly content to curl up and rest nearby.
Missy’s energy level is exactly what you’d expect from a senior sweetheart. No need for long hikes or endless games. A short stroll, something to chew on, and a cozy spot by your side is her idea of a perfect day.
She’d thrive in a calm home—perhaps with someone who works from home, a retired couple, or a family who has grandkids, nieces and nephews, who drop in now and then. She prefers homes without stairs or ground-floor living so she can move about comfortably.
Missy has been through more than her fair share, and now she just needs a safe, loving place to spend her golden years. Could that be with you?
