Meet Monty, our new boy in rescue—and we are absolutely smitten! Monty is about 2 years old and weighs 67 pounds. He hasn’t been with us very long, but it didn’t take more than a minute to see that he is as sweet as they come.

Monty enjoys playing with other dogs, but what he loves even more is being close to his people. He’s a total cuddle bug who is happiest laying in your lap, soaking up affection, and giving kisses. He also enjoys playing with soft, plushy toys and is really thriving with all the love, attention, and walks he’s getting from our wonderful volunteers.

As soon as Monty is neutered, he’ll be ready to head off to his forever home, and we’re hoping that won’t take long. This affectionate, gentle boy is going to make an incredible companion for a very lucky family.

Update 2/11: Our boy is now neutered and ready to leave for his forever home!  He has continued to charm everyone he meets and one thing he has shown us is that he has a prey drive so he will need to go to a home without cats.  He also will need a home that has a secure yard with fences that are at least 6-1/2 feet tall.
