Meet Obi – Our 11-Month-Old Charmer! 

Looking for the perfect mix of puppy fun and cuddle buddy? Meet Obi!

This handsome 11-month-old recently joined our rescue, and he's already winning hearts. Obi has all the joyful energy you'd expect from a puppy—he loves to play, chase a ball, and show off his impressive fetch skills. But when playtime is over, he's just as happy to settle down and relax at your feet... especially if belly rubs are included!

Like many young pups, Obi is still polishing his leash manners. He intermittently pulls strongly on leash and may try to grab it and "walk" you himself, but this should be very trainable. Having a yard during his training phase might be beneficial. Obi gets along well with other dogs and isn't reactive, although he may enthusiastically invite new friends to play—even if they weren't planning on it! We've also been told he's curious about cats and squirrels without feeling the need to chase them. That is unconfirmed. His favorite toys? Balls! If you have a yard where he can indulge in chasing and burn off some puppy energy, he'll be one happy boy. Then he needs shade, for his energy recovery break.

For a youngster, Obi has surprisingly impressive house manners. Obi may try to hop up on the sofa, but he respects his crate or a gated room when asked, doesn't struggle with separation anxiety, hasn't had accidents, and doesn’t chew your furniture. Is he really a puppy?

He may let out a quick whine for attention, or bark when something interesting happens outside, but it never lasts long. He takes treats with a wonderfully gentle mouth (your fingers will thank him!) and rides beautifully in the car. We have a feeling he'll grow into the kind of dog who happily joins you for coffee runs and patio adventures—future "Starbucks dog" potential included, though no guarantees!

Once Obi has recovered from his neuter surgery, he'll be ready to find his forever family. If you're looking for a high energy, affectionate companion, with an irresistible smile and plenty of cuddles to give, Obi can't wait to meet you!
