Meet River!

This handsome 1-year-old, 57-pound sweetheart is on the lookout for his forever home—and maybe a loyal hairdresser while he's at it.

Don’t let River’s distinguished little beard fool you—he may look like a retired professor, but this guy is still very much a playful, goofy puppy at heart! And let’s be real—his wild hair? It’s giving serious “bed head” energy 24/7. But honestly, he pulls it off better than most of us ever could.

River came to us from a local shelter, where he’d been kenneled with another dog. He was a bit nervous at first, but once he realized he was safe, he totally relaxed and let his sweet personality shine. Now he’s loving life and making the most of his second chance.

He’s met tons of new people and dogs and has loved every single one of them. Friendly, gentle, and full of tail wags, River is the kind of pup who fits in just about anywhere. He’s also recently been neutered and is in great health—ready to head home!

These days, River is making the most of his time at “Doggie Disneyland,” where he spends his days playing with new dog friends and finally getting to just be a dog. It’s pure joy watching him run, romp, and wag his tail without a care in the world. But even in the middle of all the fun, there’s still a quiet hope in his eyes—he knows his forever family is out there, and he’s patiently waiting for the day they come for him.
