Rosie
12 yrs old, female

At 12 years old, Rosie may be considered a senior, but she still has so much love—and personality—to give. This sweet girl lost her home due to a foreclosure, and it seems she was neglected for some time. Hence she has lost strength in her legs and gained weight. But despite her hardships, Rosie’s spirit remains unshaken. She maintains a whole lot of love and is just waiting to share it with someone special. Her tail is always wagging, and if you stop petting her, she’ll gently remind you with a soft paw—because affection is a two-way street.
Rosie is currently getting a fresh start: she’s being pampered, vetted, and starting corrective medication for hypothyroidism. She’s also easing into a healthier lifestyle with short walks and a new diet. She’d do best in a home without stairs and with a family that has the physical strength to give her a little boost when needed—think of it as strength training with a purpose! Rosie won’t just be your loyal companion; she might just be your unexpected fitness partner too.
We believe she could live peacefully with a calm dog or even a cat, but more than anything, Rosie longs for love, a soft bed, and someone to believe in her.
If you have a soft spot for seniors, and the heart to help her thrive, Rosie’s your girl.
