Savannah - ADOPTED!

1 yr old, female

Say hello to the adorable 1-year old Savannah. This 66 lb. charmer is getting ready now for a permanent home. A local shelter asked us to pull her immediately, as they could not help with her fractured leg. All symptoms are indicative that she was hit by a car. She had major surgery to repair the fracture and is recovering nicely.

Savannah seems anxious to be a normal puppy, but we have been keeping her relatively quiet. She has started short walks and exploring the foster’s neighborhood, and the surgeon has allowed her to slowly climb a few stairs. But there should be no hiking, running, or robust playing for a few more months. Eventually there should be no limitations.  After moving around in her small living environment, she has learned to rest in her crate, tell her family when she needs a potty break and she goes to the bathroom on command. Sounds pretty smart, don’t you think?

She is tame around the foster’s cat and allows the cat to taste her food, without any reactivity. Because of her need for further recovery, she would do best in a home without another dog to overexcite her and to be one story.

Can you spare a few dollars to help offset rising veterinary costs and other expenses?
