Meet our sweet Sophia!

Sophia is a 1-year-old, 52-pound Golden Retriever mix with a heart of gold. She came into rescue after being found living in a hot, dirt-filled yard, where she was understandably terrified of the world around her.

Sophia was born with missing toe bones in her front paws and has undergone corrective surgery. She has healed beautifully and is ready to find her forever family! She even has custom sassy boots and a stroller for longer outings when her little legs need a break.

Despite her difficult start, Sophia has blossomed into a loving, affectionate girl who enjoys couch cuddles, belly rubs, and spending time with her people. She has also been fostered with several dogs and gains tremendous comfort and confidence from her canine companions.

Sophia needs a home with at least one friendly, well-socialized dog. Having another dog in the home is essential for her emotional well-being, as she looks to her canine friends for reassurance and support as she continues to build confidence.

If you have a dog-friendly pup who would love a sweet companion, Sophia may be the girl you’ve been waiting for!
